REFLECTION APPLICATION

An important component of the In Focus curriculum is a student reflection component connected to each lesson topic. Student Check-in Reflection Prompts reflect the lesson content and provide an opportunity for students and teachers to reflect and respond to topic-specific prompts. Aligned with our scope and sequence, each lesson/topic has 4 to 5 prompts, including multiple choice, scale, and open-ended questions.

The Reflection APP provides students a safe place to share insights, concerns, and questions directly with teachers based on lesson topics and prompts. This informal snapshot provides teachers with critical and timely data to intervene early through the teaching of the In Focus curriculum.

Student responses provide real-time data for teachers and service providers. Teacher responses provide real-time data for administrators. Data is collected and used as pre-/post-assessments that inform instruction as well as provide longitudinal data regarding student and teacher well-being.

Teachers and administrators can access student reflection data on individual students, small groups, classes, grade levels, and for the entire school.

Students can access the In Focus Reflection APP through school email using a classroom code and password, or through single sign-on platforms.
