Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs lists different levels of needs that humans must satisfy in order to reach their full potential and feel well:
Overall well-being includes 5 main areas:
Donate. As a family, donate clothes or extra food in your pantry to a local shelter or thrift store. Deliver meals to families that are in need. Set up a lemonade stand and donate the proceeds to a local food bank or other organization.
Family Dinner. Watch the Ted Talk “How Every Child Can Thrive by Five,” by Molly Wright. Establish a routine where you eat dinner regularly as a family. Turn off screens and set phones aside. Share stories, experiences, and feelings. Ask interesting questions and listen attentively.
